Purple impatiens picture
This purple impatiens picture is from our garden. Impatiens are one of our favorite garden plants. We plant them every year. Impatiens bloom from the time you plant them until frost and usually do best in partially shaded areas. We think impatiens are one of the best plants for adding constant color to your garden. Another plus is that in our garden they're virtually bug proof. We've found that if you don't remove or disturb the soil from the previous year they will reseed themselves. Besides being a great bedding plant they also work well in containers. We've have had better success with the New Guinea impatiens, though in the containers.
