This bluish purple Periwinkle (vinca minor) picture is from a friends front yard. This vining perennial ground cover grows in shade or sun but probably does best in shade in the warmer climates. Spring flowering this ground cover is known to be good for soil erosion on hilly areas. This plant also can be invasive so it is best to keep an eye on it.
