Purple rhododendron picture
This purple rhododendron picture is from our garden. They're one of the most popular garden shrubs. They bloom in mid to late spring and grow to heights above 6 feet. Our plant gets morning sun and thrives in this location. One tip that works well for us is to remove any dead flowers for better blooming the next year. We prune our rhododendron every few years because it gets to be so large during that time. We also mulch our shrubs every winter with fallen needles from our pine tree. We've read that this shrub does best when it's out of the way of cold, drying winds. Below is a recently added picture.
