Hummingbird and zinnia picture
The above picture is a hummingbird feeding on a zinnia taken while we were sitting on our deck. They are a popular garden flower because they come in such a wide range of flower colors, shapes and sizes. Their colors include lavender, orange, pink, purple, red, white and yellow. Some varieties are dwarf in size while others can grow quite tall. They are an easy flower to grow from seeds but they only grow in warm weather and lots of sun. You'll definitely want to cut off the old flowers to encourage more blooms.
